Gleanings

2026

Rose created and curated ‘Gleanings: the art of the past‘ at Peterborough Museum March – May 2026.

The exhibition showcased new and existing artwork made by Rose about archaeological projects around Britain. The work included commissions from a wide variety of archaeological projects, showcasing the different ways that the past can be narrated and shared.

Rose created new work celebrating the archaeology of the Fens, exploring sites excavated in recent years including Must Farm, Flag Fen and Over. After a visit to Must Farm with the Cambridge Archaeological Unit, she created new work about the site to be displayed alongside some of the finds now held in the Peterborough Museum collections. The museum has purchased the collage ‘River Ruins’, and used the exhibition to inspire a Creative Late session and other educational work.

Many of the pieces featured in Gleanings are available as cards from Rather Good Art.
